Steps Tour of Hawaii

On Wednesday 28th June 2006 the Steps Gang headed off for Waikiki Hawaii to spend 10 beautiful days dancing, competing, and having fun. This album is a collection our favorite photos, please read below for more details. You can click on a photo to view the full sized version.

Our Tour...

WOW - what a trip! Full of dancing, laughter, once in a lifetime experiences and friendship! Memories that will last forever! The girls all did us very proud with their efforts and conduct while representing Steps 2 Stardom. We could not have been happier with the way they performed the routines and the results were outstanding. Maholo and “WORK IT GIRLS”. Great job and congratulation girls on a wonderful experience that we are sure no one will ever forget. The competition involved performers from Hawaii, Australia, Canada, Colorado and California.

There were 3 judges who marked competitors out of 100, so the result was out of 300. If you received between 210-239 you receive bronze. If you received between 240-269 you receive silver and between 270-300 you receive gold.

S2S also received the following Major awards:

• Maddie - Junior Technical execution award

• Lucy – Highest Teen Solo Pointscore
• Switch - Teen Choreographic award

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly competition day...... seeing all the hard work come to fruition and everyone just "Going for it" on that fantastic stage. Other highlights experienced by member of the tour were * Dance Workshop Day *Scuba Diving & Snorkeling *Hiking Diamond Head Crater *Loads of bargain shopping * The Dole Pineapple Plantation & Maze * Pearl Harbour * Atlantis Submarining * Big Island Volcano Tour * Dance Cruise * Cocktails by the pool * Pizza by the beach * Polynesian Cultural Centre (including the sing a long coming home)………………. And most importantly, the company we got to share it with! What an amazing trip!
